FAQs
-
Standard consultations are charged at our current practice rate and run for a standard session length. Our fees are set below the Australian Psychological Society’s recommended rate.
Medicare rebates may be available with a Mental Health Treatment Plan and a referral from your GP. Please see below for details on using a Mental Health Treatment Plan, or contact us for current fees and rebate information.
-
If you would like to claim rebates, you will need both a mental health care plan and a referral letter addressed to the clinical psychologist you’re seeing for your appointment.
Please be aware that using a mental health care plan requires your psychologist to write a summary letter for your doctor to review. A second referral from your GP is required after a maximum of 6 sessions in order to access the maximum number of 10 rebates per calendar year.
A referral from a GP lasts for up to 12 months, and a referral from a psychiatrist lasts for up to 3 months.
