Cathryn Regan
Clinical Psychologist &
Board Approved Supervisor
I am an experienced therapist and supervisor, allowing me to flexibly draw from a number of different therapy approaches to tailor to your personal situation. I value taking time to carefully get to know you and understand your experience so that we can develop a clear sense of what your needs are and which therapy approach is right for you.
I have experience working in both public and private hospitals, private practice, and volunteering to support people to improve their mental health. I am honoured that in 2024 I was recognised with a psychology-peer nominated award as the ‘psychologist of the year’ for the local health district I worked in. The therapy approach I use is informed by a number of evidence based psychological therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.
I am experienced in offering psychological interventions across a broad range of presentations. I have a particular interest in supporting people who are struggling with:
Trauma: PTSD, complex trauma, distressing memories and stress reactions
Anxiety: panic attacks, health anxiety, social anxiety, generalised anxiety, worry and rumination, and agoraphobia.
Obsessive compulsive disorder
Appearance concerns including disordered eating and body dysmorphic disorder
Perfectionism, self-doubts, and over-thinking

Clinical Psychologist &
Board Approved Supervisor
I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over ten years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across both public and private mental health settings. My practice is guided by a deep commitment to understanding the complexities of each person’s experiences and providing psychological care that feels both thoughtful and personal.
I believe therapy works best when it’s collaborative, grounded in honesty, and supported by a strong therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a warm, respectful, and engaging space where the people I work with feel safe to reflect, explore, and work toward meaningful change.
My approach integrates evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Drawing from these frameworks allows me to adapt flexibly to each person’s needs—balancing reflection and insight with practical strategies that promote growth and wellbeing.
Alongside my general practice, I have a particular interest in working with relationship challenges, parenting difficulties, and experiences of complex trauma. My work is informed by an understanding of early attachment and the ways in which our formative relationships shape how we connect, cope, and care for others. I’m especially drawn to supporting parents and caregivers in strengthening their bond with their infants, fostering emotional attunement, and developing more compassionate ways of relating—to both their children and themselves.
Whether you’re seeking support for a specific difficulty, navigating a challenging transition, or wanting to deepen your understanding of yourself, my aim is to provide compassionate and effective care that helps you move forward with clarity, confidence, and self-awareness.
