What are your fees?
Standard consultations are charged at $250 for approximately 50 minutes duration. These fees are set well below the Australian Psychological Society recommended rate of $311.
Medicare rebates are available when using a mental health care plan and referral from your GP. As clinical psychologists, these provide a rebate of $141.85 meaning the gap between consultation fee and rebate is approximately $110. Please see below for further information about using mental health care plans.
Please provide 48 hours notice for cancellations and rescheduling appointments. Cancellation fees are charged at 50% of the consultation fee if less than 48 hours notice and 100% of the consultation fee is less than 24 hours notice.
What if I have a mental health care plan?
If you would like to claim rebates, you will need both a mental health care plan and a referral letter addressed to the clinical psychologist you’re seeing for your appointment.
Please be aware that using a mental health care plan requires your psychologist to write a summary letter for your doctor to review. A second referral from your GP is required after a maximum of 6 sessions in order to access the maximum number of 10 rebates per calendar year.
A referral from a GP lasts for up to 12 months, and a referral from a psychiatrist lasts for up to 3 months.
