When your mind won’t let go
Living with persistent fear, doubt or worry can be exhausting, especially when the world feels uncertain and it’s hard to feel safe or in control. You might feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, unable to let go of unwanted thoughts, or troubled by memories and images that are hard to escape.
Our work focuses on anxiety, OCD, PTSD and perfectionism. We offer a space where you feel heard and understood, and practical support to help you move forward.

Who we help
-
After a traumatic or overwhelming experience, you may keep feeling unsafe long after it has passed, with intrusive memories, nightmares, constant alertness, or avoiding reminders. We use evidence based treatment including EMDR, cognitive processing therapy for PTSD, and prolonged exposure. Our treatments are paced so you stay in control, to help you feel safe in the present again.
-
OCD involves unwanted thoughts, images or urges that cause intense distress, and rituals or mental checking to ease the anxiety or find certainty. We use exposure and response prevention (ERP), the leading psychological treatment for OCD, to help you step out of the cycle.
-
Worries about illness or body sensations can become consuming, leading to repeated checking, searching or reassurance-seeking that never quite settles the fear. We help you build a calmer relationship with uncertainty about your health.
-
When concerns about your appearance take over, it can be hard to feel comfortable in your own skin, with cycles of checking, comparing and self-criticism. We offer evidence-based support to reduce these patterns and build a kinder relationship with your body.
-
Perfectionism can mean setting very high standards, fearing mistakes, and never feeling you have done enough, even when things go well. We help you keep what drives you while easing the pressure and self-criticism.
-
Panic attacks can feel frightening, especially when they come out of the blue, and fear of another one can lead you to avoid travelling, shopping or leaving home. We help you understand your body’s fear response and gradually rebuild confidence in the places and activities that matter to you.
-
Fear of being judged or embarrassed can make everyday conversations feel daunting, leaving you replaying interactions or avoiding situations altogether. We help you feel more at ease with others and more confident being yourself.
-
Your mind may constantly anticipate what could go wrong, replay conversations, or search for certainty, making it hard to switch off or be present. We help you step back from these cycles and feel more settled day to day.
-
We also support people with depression, low mood, stress and relationship difficulties, particularly when these sit alongside anxiety.
How we work
We start by getting to know you: what’s been happening, how it’s affecting your life, and what you’d like to change. Together we set clear goals, so you know what we’re working toward from the first few sessions.
Our approach is practical and evidence-based. We use structured therapies suited to anxiety, OCD and trauma, and give you strategies to use between sessions, not just in the room.
People come to therapy wanting relief. We review progress with you regularly to make sure the approach is working, and adjust it if it isn’t.
FAQs
-
Your first session is an opportunity to understand what has brought you to therapy and begin building a shared understanding of what may be keeping you stuck. Together, we’ll explore how your experiences, thoughts, emotions, and behaviours interact, and how these patterns may be maintaining your difficulties. We’ll connect this understanding with your personal goals and develop a collaborative plan for therapy, focused on creating meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
-
It depends on what you’re working on and what you’d like to achieve. Some people come for a shorter block of sessions focused on specific goals, while others prefer ongoing support. We’ll set goals together early on and review progress regularly, so you always know where things are heading.

Standard consultations are charged at $250 for approximately 50 minutes duration. These fees are set well below the Australian Psychological Society recommended rate of $311.
Medicare rebates are available when using a mental health care plan and referral from your GP. As clinical psychologists, these provide a rebate of $149.05 meaning the gap between consultation fee and rebate is approximately $101.
Payment is taken after each session, and we can process your Medicare rebate for you on the day. Please see below for more information about using a Mental Health Treatment Plan. -
We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed sessions are charged a $100 fee. Medicare doesn’t cover missed sessions. This policy lets us offer your time to someone on our waitlist if we’re notified in time.
-
Yes, we accept Mental Health Treatment Plans. A plan from your GP gives you access to Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year. We’ll send your GP a short update on how therapy is going, and your GP will review your plan along the way to continue your sessions. Referrals from a psychiatrist are also accepted.
-
